Took a selfie in the midst of unpacking. Did you see the “FRAGILE” boxes behind me? They are for my cookbooks. And yes, I make sure they were treated with care by the movers! #inmynewcrib #Melbourne
A shoutout to Offners Removals Orange for the seamless move to Melbourne (and at a reasonable price), as well as Janet from The Lifestylers’ Group for managing a stress-free property hunting in Melbourne for us. 🙂
I decided to treat myself to a brunch at Fress Cafe after making a decent progress in unpacking. I think I am in love with their soy cappuccino and the falafel wrap (not pictured) which was wrapped in roti canai. Unfortunately, I went for a lighter brunch when this photo was taken.
My taste in froyo is very….. singular. Oh, how Fifty Shades of me ha! Jokes aside, my favourite has always been the Taro flavoured froyo from Yogurberry and it is the only flavour I would get whenever I traveled to Sydney. Seeing there’s no Yogurberry in my neighbourhood and my beloved was very keen that I tried their Soy Chai Froyo from ILYA Frozen Yoghurt, I relented. If you enjoy cinanmony spices like me, this would be the froyo for you! I also tried the berry flavoured froyo which also turned out to be delicious. Having said that, I feel you can’t really go wrong berry flavoured dessert. 😉
When I was on my way to grocery shopping, I walked passed a place called Bagelicious. Let’s just say my mission took a delicious detour. I tried a Middle Eastern bagel with fried eggplant, green tahini, spicy dip, boiled egg, tomato, onion and pickle on the side. I love this combination of ingredients so much that it made it to my list of food to recreate at home.
As per a friend’s recommendation, we went to Pho Chu The to try out my usual pick of chicken pho. A sign of a delicious pho is that you finished everything to the last drop and boy, it was very flavourful! Needless to say, I am already looking forward to my next trip. 😉
