Quick Chocolate Fixes, featuring Jarrah Hot Chocolate + A Giveaway

Brought  to you by Nuffnang and Jarrah Hot Chocolate

Quick Chocolate Fixes, featuring Jarrah Hot Chocolate | www.fussfreecooking.com

{Jarrah Hot Chocolate Frothy Classic}

I usually give myself a treat whenever I cross off a task in my daily to-do list. If it is a household chore, it usually involves a TV show. When I am at work, having a short break to enjoy some snacks and sweet treats is the way to go. It is said that celebrating small victories can create momentum and I couldn’t agree more!

Quick Chocolate Fixes, featuring Jarrah Hot Chocolate  | www.fussfreecooking.com{A great range of flavours: the classics including Frothy Classic, White Chocolate & Extreme Chocolate, as well as fun flavours like mint, hazelnut & orange}

So let’s talk about how to celebrate “small victories” with sweet treats. With biscuits and chocolate bars? Why not throw Jarrah Hot Chocolate into the mix? What I love about Jarrah Hot Chocolate is it tastes so chocolatey and creamy that I can not believe it is less than 62 calories per cup. This is much less calories than a regular chocolate bar and it is 99% fat free. An ideal chocolate fix for those who want to indulge minus the guilt.

Quick Chocolate Fixes, featuring Jarrah Hot Chocolate | www.fussfreecooking.comPart of indulging responsibly is portion control. I like the convenience of the hot chocolate sachets as they come in single serve sticks which are great to carry around in my handbag. Since these are my celebratory chocolate fix at work, the packaging makes it easy to stash in my work drawer.

Quick Chocolate Fix #1: Hazelnut Mocha

Even though it is called “hot” chocolate, you can turn it into cold chocolate beverage by adding cold milk and putting it in the fridge to make it super duper cold. No seasons or weather could stop us from enjoying a delicious chocolate beverage huh? 😉

You can create your own mocha by adding a little instant coffee.  The above photo is the cold hazelnut flavoured mocha which I have concocted by dissolving a packet of hazelnut flavoured Jarrah Hot Chocolate and 1 teaspoon of instant coffee with 2 tablespoons of hot water. Pour in 180ml of cold low fat milk and stir vigorously. You can serve over ice or refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve.

Quick Chocolate Fix #2: Banana, Strawberry & Oats Chocolate Smoothie

Guys, this is the easiest chocolate smoothie you will ever make!  Similar to the above (minus the coffee), I added 1 banana, 3 large strawberries, 1 sachet of Jarrah Extreme Chocolate and 1 tablespoon of instant rolled oats. Then process all the ingredients using a stick blender until smooth. Top up with more milk to achieve your preferred consistency and bob’s your uncle! 😀

Quick Chocolate Fix #3: White Chocolate Chia Seeds Pudding

Among my other chocolate fixes above, this has to be the concoction that I’m most proud of. You know how much I like chia seeds pudding (case in point here and here).

This white chocolate chia seeds pudding is the epitome of a fuss free sweet treat that you can easily recreate at your work kitchenette or just prepare ahead of time and bring it to work as your morning tea. All you have to do is to add 1 sachet of Jarrah White Hot Chocolate with 1 tablespoon of hot water and pour in 180ml of cold milk and stir vigorously. Then add 1/4 cup of chia seeds and allow it to sit in the fridge until the consistency thickens and becomes pudding like.  Top with seasonal fruits and nuts and that’s it!

    I am a traditionalist, so I always prefer to stick to the plain, classic chocolate! Why change something that is already so good?!

    My favourite type of chocolate would have to be milk with fruit and nut. It is so Moreish! However I’m the biggest chocoholic so anything will do!

    I love chocolate orange flavour…it reminds me of spring….with new plants growing and the weather just right, not too cold & not too hot =) I like it in hot choco drinks, choc bars and choc ice cream….orange and chocolate were paired by baby angels….that’s how I like to think it originated from =)

    I really enjoy dark chocolate. It is lovely, smooth, rich, and has health benefits too (of course, if consumed in small doses!), and my mouth has a party every time they meet. What’s not to love?!

    My weakness is milk chocolate with a soft truffle centre and either a hint of coffee or hazelnut flavouring.

    As I don’t drink much coffee, I love hot chocolate! I’m always keen to discover new flavours and hazelnut hot chocolate is one of my favourite – it just tastes like Nutella!

    Honeycomb Fat Free Hot Choc. A true treat for my studious daughter. Gets her to take a break 😉
    However, I have yet to locate sellers of the variety of flavours that I have see on this website so we can work through the range.

    NB. I will look into mixing it up a bit with some of the ideas on this website too.

    Cheers.
