Happy New Year, my friends! I hope you had a well-rested and enjoyable holiday break.
We had a friend that stayed with us over the holidays and it was a great opportunity to explore Melbourne. The highlight of my holiday was definitely the day tour to the Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles. I love the picturesque spots along the way and the crisp chilled air and serenity of the surroundings made me wish that I could afford a holiday house in this area ha! Until then, I have taken many photos as memorabilia of this wonderful trip.

I have finally experienced the true Melbourne summer in the last couple of days – the heat wave! It was around 40 degrees Celsius (104 F) and as I became three shades darker, I was ready to peel my skin off! Whenever I am experiencing really hot weather, I don’t really have much appetite for food. Perhaps I was drinking way too much iced water throughout the day. Hence my meals for the past couple of days were consisting of salad, smoothies and Peters Lemonade Icy Pole.

So today, I am sharing a tropical fruit smoothie that I am currently obsessed with. Imagine chilling by the beach, sipping a glass of bananas, mango, passion fruit and a touch of Australian made 97% sugar free muesli by The Muesli (for substance and nuttiness), that’s how I would like to spend the rest of my summer! *wink*
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 small mango
- 1 passion fruit
- 25g muesli (I used The Muesli Classic)
- 2 cups soy milk
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients into a tumbler.
- Use a stick blender to blend until the mixture is smooth and velvety.
- Sprinkle additional muesli as toppings and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
You will need a stick blender.
