Dinner for Two: Sweet & Sticky Pork

MAGGI Just for 2 – a NEW adult range of tasty recipe bases that are right Just for 2.

Dinner for Two: Sweet & Sticky Pork a2

When my beloved had a couple of days away for work, I took the opportunity to catch up with my girl friend by having her over for dinner. Since she loves pork, I thought she would appreciate a pork dish from me. With that said, cooking pork is not my forte. Rather than trying to impress with an untried recipe,  based on my past experiences with the Maggi Just for 2 recipe bases (case in point here and here), I decided to go with the Sweet and Sticky Pork recipe base that was gifted to me not too long ago.

Forget about getting greasy Chinese takeout as this dish was unbelievably easy to make. I did not have to give much thought on the measurement of ingredients to achieve the right sweet and sticky consistency. When the sauce was sizzling on pan, the scent reminded me of hoisin sauce which we all know is complimentary with pork. With the addition of snow peas and red capsicum, I have the vegetables and protein in one dish. Plus, the former added beautiful colours and texture to the dish.

{I forgot to take a photo after I added the snow peas and capsicum. Whilst it was not on the packet instructions, I added a tablespoon of hot water to help the vegetables to cook better.}
