A Dose of Emily Product Feature

Official Food Blog Partner of Philadelphia Australia for the Jeep Portsea Polo & Help with My Outfit Choices

Portsea Polo | http://www.portseapolo.com.au

It is the highest profile polo event in Australia;

One of the must-attend events in Summer; and

It will be held in a picturesque resort town called Portsea which is approximately an hour and a half drive from Melbourne or 45 minutes helicopter ride. (Philly has organised a helicopter ride for me and my plus one to the event which is very exciting!)

Philadelphia Australia is one of the proud sponsors of the Portsea Polo and I am thrilled to be the official food blog partner of Philadelphia Australia for the event.  As a food enthusiast, I am looking forward to taste and be inspired by the Philly dishes and sampling available at the marque. Cheesecakes and canapes! Yes, please! *wink*

Besides the general viewing areas and the marques, part of the Portsea Polo experience also includes picnic. You can have your own reserved picnic sites located immediately beside the polo ground which I thought to be pretty cool. This would make a memorable picnic experience, don’t you reckon? It would also be a good opportunity to revisit my super easy picnic friendly recipes (see here and here) and to share them with my plus one. 🙂

Fashion is also one of the highlights of the event. I am no fashionista but one of my favourite things to do at an event (besides savouring the tantalising canapes lol) is crowd watching and outfits gazing. With an expected crowd of 6,000 people, this open-air catwalk will be fun to watch!

My style is very much like my cooking – fuss free. I’d like to keep my dressing simple and somewhat on the conservative side. The recommended attire is smart casual: flowing dresses, sandals & wedges for the ladies; and tailored shirts with dress shorts or chinos together with boot shoes or loafers for the gents. There will be a fashion event called “Philly’s Fashions on the Field” which Philly is organising on the day with a fashion prize pack valued at over $2,000 up for grabs for the winning guy and gal on the day! There will also be a roaming photographer who will be walking around taking photos of the race-goers.

In light of this, I better put some thought in my dressing and would love to share with you the 3 outfits I have picked out from my closet so far.

I couldn’t help but to feel that I am being too relaxed with my style. What do you think?  (Cue the indecisive Emily)

The event will be on the 10th January 2015, this coming Saturday and I can’t wait to share my experience with you after the event!  .

With thanks to PHILADELPHIA Australia for hosting me as a guest at the Jeep Portsea Polo 2015.

    Outfit 1 is my pick! Great relaxed summer vibe. Effortless elegance.
    (my first comment! Found your blog a month ago as fuss free yummy meals are my preference if I am doing the cooking).
    Have fun!

    Hi Emily,
    I think outfit 1 is very nice for the event. But I love outfit 3 – what a lovely dress.
