Brought to you by Nuffnang and SunRice Like many, I feel hungry more frequently in the winter months as compared to other months. Rather than braving the cold in effort to dine out, I've found myself spending more time cooking in the comfort of my own kitchen. As I grew up in a rice eating household, nothing fills me up more than a bowl of rice! When I was asked to join SunRice Recipe Box Challenge along with other bloggers and Poh Ling Yeow (Masterchef Season 1 Runner Up, star of SBS' ... continue reading...

Remember my last biryani post? I have always known biryani to be a meat dish rather than a vegetarian one. Since my close friends are vegetarians, it has becoming a habit of mine to try make vegetarian version of my staple dishes. Cheating ... continue reading...
Golden Fried Rice
Brought to you by Nuffnang and SunRice I had golden latte not too long ago. If you are not familiar with golden latte, it is basically milk brewed with turmeric and other spices. Fuss Free Butter Chicken
Uhmmm… butter and chicken… They are my most used ingredients in my cooking. When they are paired together, magic happens. Think butter basted roast chicken or butter chicken – a popular Indian restaurant dish in Australia. I’ve resisted the temptation of making butter chicken at home (for my beloved and I would go through it like no tomorrow) and I was under the impression that butter chicken is not an easy dish to make at home. Furthermore, when it comes to making Indian dishes at home, I ... continue reading...
In my grocery bag
As predicted, it has been raining for the full weekend. Since I cannot go out and play, I've made good use of time cooking and did some unpacking. Yes, it has been 3 months plus since I have moved in, but I'm a slow unpacker. Another good thing came out of this weekend was the Telstra technician came on Saturday and installed our landline while raining cats and dogs. I was worried for a sec that they might cancel the installation because of the rain but to my relief, they didn't (really ... continue reading...
